About Justtouchit 2011

The Justtouchit Conference & Expo, now going in to its third year, was designed to provide information about the strategic, marketing and business benefits of interactive digital media, or more commonly, kiosks.
However, as the lines between various customer engagement technologies are becoming more blurred, customers are now looking for total solutions as opposed to single technologies in the Customer Engagement sphere.
As the only Customer Engagement event of its kind in South Africa, Justtouchit 2011 is ideally placed to offer solutions to organisations wishing to enhance their customer experience offerings through digital media such as kiosks, digital signage, self-service, digital out-of-home/place based media, mobile and other customer-facing technologies.

The primary focus, as always, will be on interactive digital media:
Latest developments and innovations in the world of interactive digital media (kiosks), and how these developments are helping to engage customers (users) more efficiently. Other topics we will be looking at:


Digital Signage – this is a very obvious extension – the lines between digital signage and kiosks are becoming increasingly blurred, and there is an ever-increasing need to co-ordinate the messages delivered by digital display and interactive media.


Near Field Communications – Learning about NFC is a basic building block that will be required for anyone participating in the self-service industry. Integrating mobile technologies is essential to providing the types of future applications that will be savvy enough to attract and hold the attention of young users and meet the requirements of the up and coming technically proficient general population that will emerge in coming years. We view NFC as a critical component towards increasing the scope for interaction.


Mobile – 
this a “No Brainer”. – a ubiquitous and ever present medium which can serve to connect to and with all the others.


Customer Relationship Management –
with emphasis on the various touch points which provide the interaction with the customer. Whenever we provide information and technology in usually person to person interactions it is critical to focus on the content value received by the end user. Tomorrow's technology requires that we manage 360 degrees of relationships that include external as well as internal customers. JustTouchIT will focus on tools for learning today for success tomorrow.


Point of Sale Technology,
and as a subset, Self-Checkoutimproving and streamlining the customer experience at this the most traditional of customer engagement points.


Audience Measurement Technology –
how to define the audience in the immediate vicinity of the your kiosk and digital signage is a key factor in Customer Engagement Technology.
Finally, the Internet, especially as it relates to the in-store experience.

Justtouchit was conceived as an educational event, and this remains our focus.
